ISLAMABAD: Some time cannot be given to conclude Pakistan's talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Ministry of Finance and Revenue said on Friday.

This was stated by a representative of the service, who said that at present no names could be obtained with the progress of the programs.

Meanwhile, the IMF ambassador to Pakistan said the IMF talks on Sixth Review with Pakistan are ongoing.

The envoy added that Pakistan's efforts to complete the talks were still under investigation.

"The IMF is examining Pakistan's financial strategies and reforms," he added.

Later in the audit, the IMF will decide whether to release Pakistan for $ 1 billion.

Hypotheses are being made about Pakistan's lack of confidence in the negotiations.

Whether the Sixth Review Negotiation is fruitful, Pakistan will face another set of conditions from the IMF.

'IMF exchange continues'

Recently, Pakistan State Bank (SBP) Governor Reza Baqir said Pakistan's exchanges with the IMF are progressing well.

Baqir's remarks came shortly after IMF Director for the Middle East and Central Asia Jihad Azour said talks between Pakistan and the IMF on the $ 6 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF) were progressing in a "very positive" way.

Tarin wants Pakistan's talks with the IMF to remain the same

On October 17, Prime Minister Shaukat Tarin's adviser said the feeling that preparations in Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) were still blind was false.

Speaking only to Geo News, the attorney general's lawyer said Pakistan was still negotiating an agreement with the IMF.

"In all cases, I would like to inform you as it is, and I have done the same to explain to you why we are in danger today," he said. "I taught you about inadequacies and how to fix them."

A press conference by the Treasury confirmed the allegations made by the country's former leader.

"Negotiations between Pakistan and the IMF are well underway. The Secretary of Finance is conducting negotiations in Washington DC while special groups on both sides continue the negotiations that are being discussed through a transparent process later trading of active information groups," he said.
