KARACHI: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers
of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday found that Pakistanis have a digital
currency worth about $ 20 billion.
Addressing
the public, FPCCI President Nasir Hayat Magoon said, "According to
our estimates, the people of Pakistan have a secret currency worth $ 20
billion."
He called on
public officials to devise a comprehensive strategy to enable people to trade
digital currency out of Pakistan rather than Dubai. Indeed, even though India
has familiar principles related to digital currency, Magon added.
Magoon
said it was a matter
of great concern to the government in charge of 'not resolving decisions on
time'. He said Energy Minister Hammad Azhar should leave if he did not
care to resolve the issue.
Examining
the PTI-led government, the FPCCI chief said the benefits of lowering oil costs
in global markets would not be distributed to the people of Pakistan.
Discussing the ongoing gas crisis in the
region, he said Sindh created 2,310mmcf gas while 900mmcf gas was supplied to
the region.
